About this campaign

Lonely Planet launched a photo contest through BeeLiked to celebrate the launch of Lonely Planet’s “Beautiful World” book. Lonely Planet invited its audience of 1m+ followers to enter their best shots capturing our beautiful world under the following four categories: Celebration, Community, Untamed and Space. The prize is a once-in-a-lifetime photography tour with Richard I'Anson!

For category finalists, two judges will review all eligible entries and judge them based on creativity and best representation of the category theme, however, whichever photograph receives the most votes from the public will also be chosen as a finalist.

About this campaign

There's nothing like an old fashioned road trip. Whether it's cruising down the famous Route 66 or holding-on for life on Bolivia's infamous Death Road, each road has a story. That's why Lonely Planet challenged fans & followers to capture their best photos for the chance to win a selection of travel books!

Campaign Results

The photo competition saw over 500 fans send in some truly breathtaking imagery from roads all around the world. What's more over 3000 people voted socially on Facebook and Twitter boosting the social reach off the campaign to just short of 300,000 people!

About this campaign

Lonely Planet launched an Instagram Photo Contest in a bid to collect food-related snaps from around the globe. The competition asked fans to enter their most mouth-watering images via Instagram for the chance to win $250 worth of Lonely Planet books!

All fans had to do to enter was either upload a new photo to Instagram with #LPWorldEats in the title, or tag a existing instagram photo in it’s comment section!
